Outside Activities
Downhill skiing
Downhill skiing is available at Pukkivuori skiing center. Opening times are: From Wednesday
to Friday 16.30-19.30, Saturday and Sunday 12.00-19.30. (During the winterholidays open every day 12.00-19-30.)
Ask Pukkivuori reception about prices and possibility to rent equipment. The reception is at the end
of the icehockey hall.
There are good routes for cross-country skiing in the area of Pukkivuori. You need to have your own
cross-country skis but the use of the routes is free. Later when the snow has melt from the routes you can use them for jogging.
There are is a skating rink in the area of Pukkivuori which is open to everyone and without
charge. You need to have your own skates.
Swimming..
The city of Virrat offers free bus drive to swimming hall "Kuntolutra" in Alavus (60 km). You only
have to pay for swimming hours and you will get a student discount. The bus leaves from the bus station at 11.30
and back to Virrat from Alavus at 14.30. You have to make sure you are on time. This is the only
bus and they are not going to wait for you.. Here are the dates when the bus leaves:

Football
There are plenty of football fields around Virrat area, which can be used
as soon as the snow melts.
Golf
Virrat has a golf course called Toriseva Golf. It is located 5 km from Virrat city center. Toriseva
golf offers a 9-hole course, practise area and range. Toriseva Golf usually opens in the middle of May.
Tennis
Outdoor tennis courts are located near the college in "Laivaranta park" and can be used in May.
